Bali Training Camp, Indonesia

Thursday 10 July - Monday 14 July, 2008

Bali is an island of mystery and immense natural beauty. The isolated north is wonderfully mountainous which makes for splendid cycling terrain. There's little traffic, and roads are good-quality. We work with a great Balinese team, including some pretty good riders, who will encourage you up the long climbs and ensure we have a smooth trip.

Highlights of this camp are

  • high-quality accommodation and food throughout. We are staying in a luxury villa on the beach, west of Seminyak.
  • Stunning scenery and long, winding climbs! Bali is famous for its beautiful scenery and mountainous terrain. Our trips include rides

- up to Jati Luwih, in the foothills of Mount Batukaru.

- up the hardest climb we know in Asia: the legendary vertical "Munduk climb" from Lovina, 30km of steep climbing that to date only few of our team have ever managed to climb without walking!

- up to the village of Kintamani, high in the spectacular mountainous region (1700m altitude) west of Mount Batur.

  • Beautiful beach runs
  • A competent, entertaining 3-man Balinese back-up team will be following us at all times, including elite Balinese riders

This camp is aimed at Intermediate-level to advanced athletes.
